There are three sources of Truth: rationalism, empiricism, and faith. Throughout much of history, faith dominated, though without proper knowledge, faith can lead to wrong conclusions just as surely as the other two can when exercised without balance.

With the Enlightenment, Reason became the most sought after source of Truth, and with Modernism it became Empiricism (in the form of Science). This was later replaced by feelings and emotion in the Post Modern movement.

And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the Lord, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day. And the Lord thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the Lord will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:

I'm proud to say that we have launched! I'm super grateful to all our members for bearing with me through any technical hiccups we face. Now, its time for us to start collaborating! I invite everyone to make blog posts, wiki articles, and jump on Element to join the discussion.

It is time to circle the wagons, and TFC is my (small) attempt at doing that. The cost of living is skyrocketing, and the global instability is keeping neck and neck. Wars and rumors of wars... But, as the world goes more and more toward the bizarre, we will stand for Truth and sanity.

TFC is slowly coming together. Many of the web apps and services are running, and the LDAP user authentication is working.

This has been a big project, but it feels good to have something tangible come out of it.

The way the internet is currently used by most people, we are all renters. Renting space on social media, youtube, etc.

But TFC is ours. The infrastructure is ours, and the data is ours. We are not renters, we are owners. Owners of a small bit of virtual "real estate."

As someone has said, if you are invited to a free lunch, you are the entrée.

This site is the front facing element of Three Fold Cord, a distributed community committed to Tradition, Faith, and Community.

TFC stands both for our name "Three Fold Cord" and for our tenants "Tradition, Faith, Community".

I started this organization because I believe we are currently at risk of losing something. Something critical to our humanity. As technology progresses, so do the risks it poses to our natures. The timeless and traditional values of faith and community are guideposts for us.
